The Government of Pakistan should not hide behind the increase in oil prices in the world market

Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) leader Mian Raza Rabbani has said that the government should immediately withdraw the increase in petrol prices. In his statement, Mian Raza Rabbani said that the government should not hide behind the increase in oil prices in the world market, the government has agreed with the IMF that they will increase the levy on petroleum products. Mian Raza Rabbani further said that the increase in petrol price was due to IMF while this increase would increase the prices of essential commodities and inflation would skyrocket. The former chairman of the Senate has said that the government increased the price of electricity two days ago, at the request of the IMF. Rising electricity and oil prices have made life difficult for the working class. Mian Raza Rabbani said that I would like to warn the government that when the people are suffering from economic woes, the door of anarchy is opened and then without any leadership such movements arise which are destructive to the state and state structure. He further said that it has become difficult for the working class to refuel their motorcycles and people are being forced to commit suicide and beg.
