Material Engineer  Job

Material Engineer - Materials Engineering Technology (MET) group specializes in materials selection, metallurgical engineering, welding, NDE, coatings, cathodic protection, corrosion control and insulation. Graduated from one of Materials Engineering, Metallurgy Engineering divisions of a reputable university.

 

 Responsibilities :-

 1. Prepare piping material classes that will be developed in the piping materials management database, to allocate stock codes for material tracking purposes. Full purchase descriptions will be prepared for each stock code item for inclusion with the material requisitions.

2. Review specific materials, welding and NDE specifications.

3. Develop corrosion prevention practices that include, monitoring, cathodic protection design and commissioning.

4. Review specific Material Requisition (MR) data sheets for materials requirements.

5. Review piping and equipment specifications for materials and fabrication consistency and compliance.

6. Prepare Material Take off (MTO) for insulation and cathodic protection materials.
